The last of the Art-Tech trio of the famous Allied WWII fighters- but, as they say, the last shall be first! This plane seriously ROCKS!!! Anything you've heard about elliptical wing tip-stalling must be from some other plane, or some bad pilots. This plane fairly FLOATS at low speed, and, personally, I have zero tip stalling problems with it. I'll say this about it though- in my opinion, Art-Tech learned a LOT in building the Mustang and Corsair, and incorporated all that knowledge into the Spit. The plane is solidly built, has a top loading battery compartment, which can be modified to hold a 1650 or 1800 mAh battery for flights of 13 minutes and more. (it's easy to enlarge- see our tips & tricks video) Even the landing gear design benefits from Art-Tech's design experience- it's the most durable of all their landing gear, and will take a lot of punishment from beginners. It has the same big outrunner motor and 11x 6 3 bladed prop as the Corsair, so you can hang this baby on it's prop for some great aerobatics! And talk about SCALE!! Like all 3 Art-Tech WWII fighters, the scaled details are as close to perfect as you'll find in the best display models. Even the prop spinner shape is perfect- it's the most faithful reproduction of that famous nose of ALL the Spitfires on the market! (The FMS Spit spinner is also perfect, so that really should say "one of the two most perfect"). I LOVE THIS PLANE!!! Can you tell?
Like with the Corsair, we've designed an Aircam holder that replaces the pilot seat, (you can make it easily with our instructions) so you get an "pilot's eye" view from the cockpit through the available clear plexi replacement windscreen- GREAT movies from another ultra-stable Art-Tech platform.
Before I run out of space (notice I didn't say run out of wind), let me say something about the flight characteristics- this plane LOVES to do aerobatics, and it's the most nimble Art-Tech fighter, which says a lot. The first time I went to do a loop, I discovered that it would easily do a "square" loop- fly level, make a right angle turn to vertical, a right angle turn to inverted, a right angle turn to a vertical dive, and a right angle turn back to level flight- when you yank the stick, this baby RESPONDS!! When the Lovely Denise saw this performance, she shouted "WOW!" (You can hear her on the video) All the rest of the fighter pilot's flying tricks are child's play with this Spitfire - it will make you shine!! Also, if you're a beginner, you'll be able to handle this Spit with relative ease- it doesn't go leaping away from you when you move the stick (the Art-Tech Mustang is a bit more jumpy, and the Corsair a bit smoother)
Once again, the RTF version comes with a 4 channel 2.4 Ghz Transmitter and receiver (aileron, elevator, throttle and rudder / tail wheel),a big 11" x 6 3 blade prop, a 1300 mAh Lipo battery
and my favorite inexpensive LiPo charger (the charger is for 2 or 3 cell batteries, and it's
tuneable with a knob for fast or slow charging!), an extra prop, and the plane, of course.
The PNP version has all that except for the Tx/Rx (It does include a battery and charger.)
The ARF is the plane with no extras.
Our "Killer Planes Extra" version of the Art-Tech Spitfire comes with 3 props (total), two prop spinners, 2 sets of landing gear, and an extra motor mount (2 total).
The It's also the easiest Art-Tech plane to build, which means EASY- it took me exactly 6 minutes to build after the Crashproofing Kit was installed. For me, that's a record. This plane is also easy to crashproof because of the design, and the crashproofing works VERY well with this fuselage. SO- nuff said. If I described this plane true enough, you're clicking on "BUY" right now. I know you'll love it - I sure do!
