The P38 Lightning- the “fork tail devil” of the Luftwaffe and “two plane, one pilot” of the Japanese. Or maybe "One of those things that shot down Yamamoto!" Long legs, heavy armament, and surprisingly nimble for a huge plane- ever see one of these up close? This monster could out turn a Messerschmitt, which is about half it's size. Can you feel the flesh stretching across your face?
The Airwing P38 is the biggest foamie P-38 available, and it's made from "durable and lightweight" EPO foam. Ours are just a bit stronger than the factory version, with strength increases of 500% in the nose, 300% in the wings, and about 250% in the rear parts. That's the "MAX" Crashproofing. The "SUPERMAX" is even stronger. Not too shabby.
Now that there's another 1600mm P-38, this one holds a new record- it's the least expensive one, with the most elegant wings. And did I mention the working flaps and drop tanks? Drop those tanks, retract those flaps, and go get that Betty!
It's got servoless retracts, steerable nose wheel, twin rudders, twin 760kv motors, nice detailing, and you can kick in the supercharger with a 4 cell battery.
GO FOR THE GUSTO!
